Shipping Policy

General Supply Inc. (dba mobilehomepartspro.com) ships packages by FedEX, UPS, USPS, and LTL Freight Carriers. Most of the items that you find on our web site will ship directly from our warehouse in Indianapolis, IN. In some circumstances we may ship all or a portion of your order from a secondary location. Shipping from a secondary location may serve to expedite your order and does not add any additional cost to your order.

Whenever possible, we will ship your package via FedEx or USPS. Only packages that are too large or too heavy will be shipped LTL (large truck). When shipping via UPS or USPS you will have the option to select from several shipping methods

Ground Service: Most economical way to ship your package. Typical ship time is 3-7 business days (Monday thru Friday)

Second day air: Will arrive in two business days. (Monday thru Friday). If you choose this option, we will verify that the product is in stock and available for immediate shipment before we will process your order

Next day air: Package will arrive next day as stated. (Monday thru Friday) If you choose this option, we will verify that this item is available for immediate shipment before we will process your order

Next day air a.m.: Package will arrive by 10:00 am the next day.(Monday thru Friday) This is the most expensive means of shipping a small package. We will verify this item is available for immediate shipment before we will process your order.

LTL Freight: (Large Commercial Truck – Tractor Trailers) Estimated shipping times should be listed with your order. Most packages will arrive in 3-5 business days for the central and eastern portion of the Continental United States and 3-7 days in the western portion of the country. General Supply will email you with a contact number and pro-number of the carrier so that you can easily track the progress of your shipment. As defined by the trucking industry, residential delivery means “curbside delivery”, so you may need assistance with moving your packages indoors as this is not the responsibility of the carrier. If the trucking company is unable deliver to your residence due to road width, turn around restrictions, weight restrictions, etc., it will be your responsibility to make arrangements with the freight company for acceptance of your shipment.

You Are Responsible For:

Ø Removing the shipment from the truck

Ø Bringing it into your location

Ø Noting damaged or missing items on the carrier’s delivery receipt

If you do not make note of these issues in any on the delivery receipt, We cannot guarantee any compensation for damaged or missing items. By signing your name on the delivery receipt without declaring these exceptions, you are stating that you have received your shipment acceptable condition.

Upon inspection, if any piece of the shipment is damaged or missing

Ø Note it clearly on the delivery receipt before signing (ie “missing 2 pieces” “holes or torn packaging” “multiple dents or scratches” etc.)

Ø Keep your copy of the delivery receipt

Ø Contact us within 1 business day

Ø Keep the damaged packing materials for inspection

Ø Take pictures of the damaged items and packaging

What is liftgate service?

A liftgate is a motorized platform attached to the back of the truck that will physically lower your order to the ground so that you can take it inside your business or home. The truck driver will place your order on the ground using the liftgate and you are responsible for bringing it inside. If you do not have an elevated loading dock or forklift to unload your order, you may need a liftgate and should contact us so that we can make arrangements for this option, in most cases this would come at no extra charge to you.

Optional Delivery Insurance

On many LTL freight deliveries we are able to add “concealed damage insurance” to your order for a small cost. If you cannot personally check in your order at time of delivery, this may be an excellent option for you. It will allow you up to 48 hours after delivery to inspect your delivery for anything that could not be seen at time of delivery. For more information on this service, please be sure to speak with your General Supply Inc. sales representative, They will be glad to be of service.
